I would suggest to get rid of this Note template altogether...

It is way to complicated for an average who will most likely be unfamiliar with the Wiki-syntax. (Templates in general should only be used for administrative submissions anyway, but not for regular user input.)

If we want this Wiki to be used by as many people as possible we should also keep it as simple as possible, without submitters having to study formatting rules first, before they can post something.

The Notes submission process is different from writing to any other page, on this Wiki and every other Wiki... Even if somebody does read the special instructions, and tries to click on "Add Note" the formatting will end up being wrong, since he not only has to do that, but also use the proper template in the proper location. Which is asking a bit much from somebody who has never used a Wiki before.

Let's make the Notes section a free-form paragraph, where everybody can post any way they like. This is, after all, one section where public feedback and input would be most useful. (And if it ends up looking too chaotic, then somebody occasionally has to clean it up.) --Kronzky 18:14, 26 December 2006 (CET)
