eyeDirection – Talk

eyeDirection seems to return an array as follows:

0: reference angle scaled 0-1, +1=East
1: reference angle scaled 0-1, +1=North
2: angle offset from view/weapon when freelook, otherwise always returns ~0

can someone else confirm and suggest proper phrasing/formatting before i add anything? geometry isn't my strong point, is any special terminology used for this type of N-E reference? --Strangepete (talk) 10:44, 12 March 2014 (CET)

can confirm your observations, but I think the current status is pretty inconsistent and not very helpful - there's a bug report about it, too (http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=15580), so hopefully it'll get changed. I would have expected a normalized 3D-vector in world space as in weaponDirection or in model space but not a mix of both. --Master85 (talk) 15:02, 15 March 2014 (CET)
