The grenade physics in ArmA are very different to games such as CS:S and BF series.
First of all, there are 4 types of greandes:
US Grenade: Will explode after around 3-5 seconds. You can bounce theese off walls and the main cause of death is the concussion.
RUS Grenade: Will explode on impact. DO NOT ATTMPT TO BOUNCE THEESE!
Smoke Grenade: Emits coloured smoke used in fire and mevment or identification of different markings.
203/25 Grenades: Fired from grenade launchers. Theese will not boune, but however, if fired at a low angle, will 'skip' along the ground until the heavier nose of the grenade come in contact with the ground.
The only way to get better at grenade throwing is to practise.
Use the SP Training Mission to get use to aiming the grenades, or if you ar based in an online squad, talk to your Commander about different methods they may have devised themselves.

The AI players achieve remarkable accuracy with grenades. Is it possible as a human player to achieve such accuracy? This is a question many of the newer players to ArmA/OFP may ask.
