i have to add you a thought here, based on:

maybe i am wrong, but i can see a VERY important discussion here going.
what is the reason to stop it?
its the best place to do it. everyone can participate, everyone can see it.
even the developers think its important.

:I agree that it's a very important and interesting discussion, and that's exactly why a command's talk page isn't the best place for it.
:Talk pages aren't designed to handle lots of traffic. They are purged frequently to make room for new discussions, and at that point - unless sombody incorporates the result of the discussion into the article - all those interesting arguments will basically vanish.
:The main purpose of a Wiki is to ''present'' information, not to ''discover'' it. Forums are much better suited for those discussions, since they have navigational and search mechanisms, and are preserved for a long time. ::BIS Forum isnt the place for it - only here decent people still like to talk as the wiki scares the public crowd off.

What might be better is a page dedicated to explaining use of MP variables in ArmA once it is released. Could you leave the discussion till then?
