Revision as of 19:47, 6 April 2015
Template:Infobox AFV The BRDM-2 went into production in 1962 as an armoured car scout vehicle with amphibious capabilities. It was exported extensively and has been in use in at least 38 different countries. In reality, the original was fitted with a 14.5mm machine cannon and a 7.62mm machine gun. Other variants followed, including a command variant with no turret, anti tank versions with missiles, among others. The variant that appears in OFP is the command variant, which has no turret.
The BRDM was released with a patch after the first launch of Operation Flashpoint. In Armed Assault and ArmA 2, the BRDM-2 family was expanded with the 14.5mm cannon armed scout, and the AT-5 Spandrel anti-tank missile versions.
