There is a newer version available which might fix the problem you just experienced. You can download it from ArmA 2 main web site.

If the problem is not fixed in the latest version, chance is it might be fixed in a beta patch.

beta patch is a version containing latest fixes and improvements
beta patches are not tested as extensively as the normal version
beta patch does not overwrite the version you already have, you can still run the normal version at any time
