The BRDM-2 went in production in 1966. This vehicle was uparmed with some additional features like rockets or a turret with cannon.

In reality, the original was fitted with a 14.5mm machine cannon and a 7.62mm machine gun. Other variants followed, including a command variant with no turret, anti tank versions with missiles, among others.  The variant that appears in OFP is the command variant, which has no turret.


In OFP the BRDM was released with a patch after the first launch of Operation Flashpoint. Further more in Armes Assault and ArmA 2 the turret and AT3 rocket version was included.
