Art of War Artwork Textures – Arma 3
Custom Artwork
It is possible to change the artwork in all the frames and on all the canvases that arrived with the Arma 3 Art of War DLC. This can be achieved directly in the Eden Editor by accessing the asset's attributes and adjusting the relative path to the texture. It can also be down via the setObjectTexture script or BIS_fnc_SetObjectTexture function. For more information on replacing textures in-game, see the article on Retexturing with SetObjectTexture. For texture reference layouts, see the second table at the bottom of this page.

The laptop reads 'EMP', an acronym for ElectroMagnetic Pulse. EMP weapons destroy electronics and are sometimes used indiscriminately in cyberwarfare, breaking International Humanitarian Law by targeting civilian as well as military infrastructure.

This photograph depicts the famous 1989 'Blue Party Prison Riot' at Andrzejów Detention Center in Livonia, an episode which made international headlines and quickly captured the imagination of the world. Inmates, along with several guards, in solidarity with national actions against the Soviet regime and angry with deteriorating living conditions, staged several weeks of protests before finally taking full control of the facility.

Are autonomous weapons, for instance, an opportunity to save soldiers' lives? Do we really want to remove these tragic consequences, allowing nations to project force with impunity? And how can we argue against robots on the battlefield with the loved ones of combatants who have made an ultimate, yet ultimately avoidable sacrifice? Perhaps, scenes like this one, are a necessary reality of war?

Simply entitled 'Gray Goo', it alludes to the gray, slime-like appearance of molecular nanotechnology. Once a hypothetical concept, it became the controversial subject of military study in 2033. Today, propelled by recent breakthroughs in quantum technology, the idea of a globous and self-replicating mass of tiny robots, capable of stripping away the strongest steel, is edging from science fiction to science fact. Faced with such realities, many argue that International Humanitarian Law has a moral and legal responsibility to regulate new technologies.

On close inspection, we can see that the ghostly silhouettes of the dead represent the losses of all sides and factions; spirits of fallen comrades appear to mingle with those of the enemy and all appear to be accompanying the grieving soldier in the mid-ground. The chiaroscuro effect is also ingeniously used, separating the living from the dead by way of light and shade.
