Target Acquisition and Tracking
Sensors
Some vehicles can be equipped with sensors ("scanners" in config) that allow the crew to detect, identify and track targets.
Usage (default):
- "T" - to mark target under the cursor
- "R" - to cycle through available targets (may not always be available)
Indication:
- A marked target, tracked and visible, is indicated by square brackets.
- Once the marked target moves out of the sensor's line-of-sight or becomes masked its position becomes only estimated and the indication changes into a dashed square.
- A full square indicates that the currently selected weapon is able to acquire a lock and be guided on the target
- To improve crew combat awareness some vehicles are able to display targets acquired and tracked by a specific sensor at all times - such are indicated by a dotted cross. In vanilla content this is limited to indication of lased targets.
Different types of sensors can be used against different types of targets.
