I can't seem to get footnotes into my pages using the MediaWiki <nowiki><ref></nowiki> tags?
Is there a replacement or some other possible way? --[[User:CrashDome|CrashDome]] 20:41, 3 August 2006 (CEST)
:The use of footnotes is a MediaWiki [http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cite/Cite.php extension] that isn't installed by default. You should probably just use either in-text links, or a list of external links at the bottom of the article. --[[User:Kronzky|Kronzky]] 23:11, 3 August 2006 (CEST)

Could someone add instructions in this page how to add proper notes? For example notes at the bottom in this page http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/getPos look nice, have date and name of the writer. I'm assuming there is some kind of command you can use to add a note like that (such as the command ~ to add your name and date), or is it perhaps just manually added code? -[[User:Osmo|Osmo]] 01:37, 4 May 2012 (CEST)
